What contributed to the popularity of The Beatles' song 'Yesterday'? Was it due to its simplicity, lyrics, or other factors?

Yesterday was a really unique song in The Beatles catalog. First off it was just Paul by himself with his guitar, with strings added on top of it. Second off he wrote it in a dream, and he didn't even know what it was about to my knowledge, and he actually thought that he'd stolen it from somewhere. He went for weeks asking all the guys in the band everybody he knew, did I steal this is this a song did I hear this somewhere. When they all told him no Paul I think you actually wrote it, they set about recording it.

And George Martin didn't see where the rest of the boys could even play on it. It was so unique that they just had Paul by himself. It's a really beautiful song, it's not one of my favorites, but I can see it's appeal. It's simple it's beautiful, it's a very Paul song If you get my drift. And when he sang it on Ed Sullivan I don't even think the girls were screaming, I'd have to go back and look at my video. And it was just him by himself on the stage, very unique song.

So all of that coming together made it one of the most perfect songs ever written. I really don't know why I don't like it? I don't hate it, it's just I have about 150 or more Beatle songs that I like better than “Yesterday.” But I do see the reason why it's so popular, and it's been as you already know covered more times than any other song in history. One Beatle, one spotlight, playing the guitar all by himself. They were already showing their depth and they'd only barely started. As John always said “Thanks Paul.”

Hello, I have a question about astral projection. I started to get interested in this a little while after my mum passed in april. I thought I may be able to see her and speak with her if I managed to achieve astral projection. Since this interest, every time i sleep on my back I go into sleep paralysis. However, I cant progress into astral projection because it is very scary for me as I feel like I'm suffocating when this happens. I panic and force myself to wake up. This only ever happened about once a year before this. It sometimes lasts a long time. This has happened about 3 times per week since my mum died, as mentioned on a previous post. I no longer try to go into it anymore(due to the suffocating feeling), but it still happens. I read that sleep paralysis is the pathway to astral projection. Why has this started to happen so frequently since simply taking an interest in it? Is this connected to the afterlife? I am concerned about it as I now cannot seem to stop this happening. Could it be my mum trying to communicate? Im asking due to more knowledge around this in this group.

And you never find out why the person left or why they went away, some people think it's about his mom dying from cancer. But we already know that “Let It Be” is about his mom, so we'd have to ask Paul, and none of us has access to him. And when Paul singing it on Ed Sullivan, the girls got to take a really good look at him all by himself with no other guys around. And they loved it, and I think that it just showed Paul sensitive side, and the Paul fans were probably just oh wow he's so dreamy.
